The assignment was to visit local food trucks and to choose one that needed a redesign.
The truck that I chose served incredible food and was run by a former fine dining chef. I chose to highlight the "chef-y" nature by using a clean white subway tile cladding, reminiscent of a kitchen, and a black and white patterned lower portion that evokes the floor of a traditional kitchen (think black and white checker).
I created a bench seat at the front of the trailer to give people a photo spot to capture the memory of their visit to the truck. It was difficult to tell exactly what this food truck was selling from a long distance away on the original design, so I highlighted the fact that they sold tacos - and more - in a very large way on all sides of the truck.
